While conventional lab testing can give us some clues as to what’s going on, specialty functional lab testing gives us an opportunity to address the root cause of your symptoms.
This optional specialized testing also allows us to get you on your wellness journey faster by uncovering imbalances in the body and focusing on interventions.
Lab testing is not included in the cost of nutritional consultations and must be purchased separately.
As your nutritionist, I will help determine the best course of labs for you. You must schedule a consult and be a client in order to purchase, receive, and review the results of your testing with me.

With a functional stool test we get a glimpse “under the hood”, mainly of the large intestine but with clues as to what might be happening further up the GI tract in the small intestine. This test can help uncover gut bacterial imbalances, presences of pathogens, viruses parasites, colonized H.Pylori, fungi/yeast, and markers of digestive health such as digestive and immune function to give us a better roadmap for your healing journey.

Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) is strongly associated with IBS and GI symptoms. This non-invasive 3-hour breath test can be done at home.

Helicobacter pylori (H.Pylori) bacteria is a common bacteria that resides in the upper part of the GI tract. However, when overgrown it can result in symptoms like GERD/reflux, belching, bloating, nausea, abdominal pain. Your clinician will determine the best test for you:
- 15 minute Urea Breath Test. Your clinician will put in the order and you can schedule accordingly at your local Labcorp. ~$60

~$100 for H.Pylori only stool testing. This can also be be included as part of a comprehensive stool profile.

Organic Acid Testing (OAT) is a metabolite urine test to assess many of the metabolic pathways - checking the status of nutrients, mitochondria, detoxification, neurotransmitters, and dysbiosis markers. Vitamins and minerals are essential for the enzymes responsible for the metabolic pathways in the body. The testing will uncover which metabolic pathways are being impacted and which vitamins and minerals may be in need. Optional add-on testing can also include both a urine test, blood test, and saliva test to include markers for certain genetic SNPs, fatty acids, and amino acids.

The Micronutrients Panel measures various vitamins and minerals to evaluate nutritional deficiencies and abnormalities (blood draw required). Depending on the vitamin/mineral will determine if it will be measured intracellular (within the cell) or extracellular (within the blood and existing outside of the cells).
Testing will be used to determine a custom supplement plan and/or help determine if an underlying condition is contributing to nutrient status.

Urine mycotoxin testing can offer an assessment of mold exposure. Mold exposure for some can result in a range of systemic symptoms, gastrointestinal symptoms, to neurologic. Just because you have left an exposure to mold does not mean the mold has left you. Testing offered may uncover this but please note that if your testing comes back positive you may be referred to a practitioner that specialized in mold related illness, CRIS, PANS/PANDAS, and/or MCAS.
